Kieran's Review:

Mr. Penguin is an adventurer. Well, he's trying to be. It's his first day on the job and the adventures aren't piling up like he'd thought they would. That is, until he gets a call from the Museum of Extraordinary Objects. Museum owner Boudicca Bones has a treasure for him to find. Together with his top hat wearing, mute and freakishly strong spider friend, Colin, Mr. Penguin sets out for the museum, eager to complete his very first adventure!

The treasure won't be easy to find, however. The museum holds many secrets and it's Mr. Penguin's job to navigate his way through them all, no matter how dangerous they may be. He'll need to rely on his sharp wits and deduction skills, and most importantly, the fish finger sandwich he packed himself for lunch. Nevertheless, Mr Penguin is up to the task, even if he does miss a few clues along the way.

A delightfully fun adventure story that will appeal to fans of Geronimo Stilton, especially if they're ready for a slightly trickier read. Vibrant and funny characters mixed with some clever wordplay and a mystery full of twists and turns makes for an action-packed and enjoyable read. Perfect for kids aged 6+, and a great choice for reading to someone, even if they're a bit younger.
There are three books in the Mr. Penguin series so far and they are all brilliant!
