Professor Terri-ann White lectured in the University of Western Australia's Department of English from 1996 until she was seconded in 1999 to establish the Institute of Advanced Studies at UWA. She has been the director of UWA Publishing since 2006 and has served in senior roles in an advisory capacity across literature, dance, art and music programmes over the last 25 years. Professor White is also a respected Australian writer having authored fiction and academic work including a novel, a collection of short stories and a collaborative book. She has also edited poetry, biographies and non-fiction. She remains an Honorary Research Associate at the Faculty of Arts at UWA.
