Saviour Pirotta is the best-selling author of over 100 children's books. Born in Malta and now living in Yorkshire, Saviour has written stories, poems and plays since he was a boy, and has been writing full-time since 1986. He has won the English Association Award as well as Aesop Accolade in the US. Karl Newson is a children's author and illustrator. He spent his younger days making dens, roaming barley fields and 'playing up the prak' (park) in Norwich, Norfolk, but he now lives in London, where he mostly just eats biscuits.
